1973 is where our story begins. The DeSilva family migrated to The United States to start a new life full of opportunity. Along with the few dollars they had in their pockets, they brought with them hope and the Sri Lankan heritage that shaped them. Growing up as a first generation American, I have the good fortune to be raised not only in the Western traditions, but also the Eastern. The importance of the Sri Lankan culture was instilled at an early age and to this day holds a special place in my heart. The unique culinary traditions of Sri Lanka have always been central to my life and represents great memories. Inspired by generations of family recipes, I want to share these culinary delights and help create those same great memories with your family and friends. Don't worry if you are not able to travel to the Far East, we'll bring the Far East right to your backyard!
